Bed bugs are the one pest where delay genuinely makes the problem worse. A single fed female can produce a new generation in about six weeks, and that generation spreads to the next bed, the sofa, the armchair, the car seat on the way to work. What starts as three bites in one room becomes a house-wide infestation in a season — usually in a home that nobody is imagining is affected.
How we confirm it is bed bugs first
We do not treat bed bugs on a hunch. A trained technician inspects the mattress seams, box spring, bed frame, headboard, baseboards and furniture seams, and looks for the evidence that actually confirms it: live bugs, cast skins, eggs on a surface, and the rust-coloured spotting on sheets and mattresses from bed bug excrement. Skin reactions alone are not proof — many bites look alike and we do not want to sell you a treatment you do not need.
Heat treatment for whole-room and whole-home infestations
Heat is the most effective treatment for established infestations because it kills every life stage — eggs, nymphs and adults — without the residue and repeated re-treatment that chemicals require. We heat the home to a verified target temperature, hold it, and monitor continuously with probes. It is the right choice for confirmed, spread-out infestations and for anyone who cannot tolerate chemical treatment in a home with small children, pregnant residents, or a severe allergy.
Discretion matters
Nobody wants a marked van outside their house. Our vehicles are unbranded, our technicians wear plain clothing, and we do not discuss the nature of the job at your door. For hotel rooms, apartment complexes, and short-term rentals we treat quietly between departures.
Bed Bug Extermination — common questions
Look for: itchy bites in a line or pattern of three or more on exposed skin, rust or brown spotting on mattress sheets and pillowcases, small blood spots on your bedding, shed skins near the bed frame, and a sweet musty smell in the room. Bring us a photo of a suspected bug in a sealed bag and we will confirm identification free.
Heat treatment usually requires one visit plus a follow-up inspection about two weeks later to catch any stragglers that were hidden. Chemical-only treatment for light infestations may need 2-3 visits. We tell you honestly which situation you are in after the inspection — not over the phone.
With heat treatment, once the home has cooled and the technician has released it, yes. With chemical treatment you need to stay out for several hours and ideally overnight. We will tell you which applies before we start.
After treatment we seal mattress encasements, inspect and treat adjoining units and the hallway if you live in an apartment, and give you a preparation checklist for the second room if you suspect spread. Bed bugs travel in luggage and secondhand furniture — we can inspect a piece before you move it in.
